In this mode, players can play games directly with their friends on Steam who also have The Banner Saga Factions. The inviting player can choose the turn-timer and map. Turn-timers include: 60-second, 30-second, and Unlimited.
Note: To invite a player, their Steam profile needs to be public.
Adding Friends on Steam[]
Open Steam.
At the top, go to COMMUNITY and then to the sub-heading FRIENDS.
Usually on the right side, enter the player name, account name, real name, email address or profile url of the person you're looking for in the field below "+Add friends" and click "+Add friends".
Search for the user in the list and click "Add as friend".

Ask for the other user's direct profile url, if they have set one.
Follow their profile link while logged into steam and "Add as friend".
Their Steam profile URL will look like: steamcommunity.com/id/_NAME where _NAME is what they chose as their link. (note: as with all links, check them before you click them; copying and pasting links is a good practice to avoid fake links)
Making a Direct Profile URL on Steam[]
Open Steam.
At the top, go to COMMUNITY and then to the sub-heading PROFILE.
In the Actions menu, usually on the right, go to "Edit my Profile".
Scroll down to "Custom URL:" and at the end, type your desired name.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the "Save" button. You'll receive an error if your URL name is taken. If not, it will be saved and you will be able to share it.
Your Profile URL will look like: steamcommunity.com/id/_NAME where _NAME is what you chose as the link.
